Anglican Primate tells FG: Disband ASUU, their method is immoral

The Anglican Communion Church of Nigeria Primate most Rev. Nicholas Okoh, has on Thursday hinted that FG should Disband the Academic Staff Union of University.

While speaking in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state During the Church Bishops commitee meeting, Okoh described ASUU's method as "self - enrichment and Immoral". He advised that the Government should either get ASUU to be individualistic Limited or Privatise Universities so that there wont be no body Mandating institutions to go on strike.

He went further by stating how the University Lectures are busy teaching in Private Universities during strikes and they will still be paid for the strike period when it is called off which he sees as something that is highly immoral and must be discouraged.

He Give Kudos to the good work of President Goodluck Jonathan in the areas of Airports creation and maintenance, road network, power supply and railways. He also went further to warn politicians to desist from working for external individuals who had predicted that Nigeria will be disintegrated come 2015.

The Cleric also advice the youths saying “We appeal to our youths to take part in politics but steer clear of political thuggery. You should not allow yourselves to be used for assassination, arson, kidnapping, maiming, looting, intimidation of opponents.

"Nigeria needs you tomorrow, so don't die for any political party or candidate".
